According to forecasts, by 2026, 182.8 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers will be needed for the agricultural needs of Kyrgyzstan, including:
- nitrogen fertilizers — 96.2 thousand tons (for spring field work);
- phosphorus fertilizers — 71.5 thousand tons;
- potassium fertilizers — 15.2 thousand tons.
As of January 20, 2025, 21.5 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers have already been imported into the country. Currently, private companies have 19.2 thousand tons of fertilizers in stock, ready for sale.
In accordance with the order of the Department of Chemicalization, Plant Protection, and Quarantine No. 124, a record of mineral fertilizers imported into Kyrgyzstan through border phytosanitary points by both road and rail transport is being implemented.
