Deputy Attorney General Umutkan Konkubayeva reported on a proposal that parents who evade paying alimony for the support of children or disabled dependents will face arrest for up to three days if the debt exceeds three consecutive months or totals over a year.
If the offense is repeated within a year, the arrest period increases to seven days.It is also proposed to introduce a three-day arrest for adult children who fail to fulfill their alimony obligations towards their disabled parents for three months.
In addition, the Prosecutor General's Office proposes to grant private bailiffs the right to demand the enforcement of enforcement documents.Deputy Elvira Surabaldiyeva noted that a citizen who regularly paid alimony approached her, but faced problems when trying to leave the country.
She stated that the bailiffs knew his contact details but did not inform him of the issues that arose. Upon attempting to leave, it became clear that the bailiff had colluded with his ex-wife to prevent him from leaving the country. "What measures will be taken against the bailiffs?" the deputy asked.
