The Department of Environmental Monitoring of the Ministry of Nature of Kyrgyzstan conducted an inspection at a waste processing plant located on the territory of the Bishkek city sanitary landfill. This was reported by the ministry's press service.

The main objective of these studies is to assess the impact of the plant on the environmental situation in the region.

“As part of the monitoring, laboratory analyses are being conducted to detect substances such as nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides, nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, and suspended particles (dust). A comprehensive analysis of the surrounding area has also been carried out: samples of atmospheric air, soil, and water from the Ala-Archa reservoir have been collected. To prevent potential negative impacts on the environment, it is planned to conduct regular environmental monitoring every month in the future,” the press release states.
