The Cabinet approved the organizing committee for the preparation of the 100th anniversary of Chingiz Aitmatov

The Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic has approved the composition of the organizing committee, which will be responsible for preparing events dedicated to the centenary of the birth of Chingiz Aitmatov.

According to the document, the anniversary events will receive national status. The organizing committee is tasked with developing and approving a plan for the main events in honor of the outstanding writer, humanist, philosopher, and statesman, Hero of the Kyrgyz Republic, and people's writer Chingiz Aitmatov by March 31, 2026.

The Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy is responsible for the organizational, methodological, and other support of the committee's work.

This order comes into effect upon its signing.
