Yesterday, January 15, a public meeting was held in Uzgen, where residents of the Kalmak-Kiya and Tashtak neighborhoods discussed important issues for them.

The event was attended by the city mayor Eldos Taev, the chairman of the city council, as well as local service and institution leaders.

At the meeting, issues concerning social and living conditions, the state of the neighborhoods, and upcoming work were discussed in detail. Topics such as the condition of roads, internal landscaping, access to clean drinking water, street lighting, waste disposal, irrigation channels, as well as public order and sanitary conditions were addressed.

Mayor E. Taev spoke about the work completed in 2025 and presented plans and priorities for 2026. Clear assignments were given for each issue to the relevant services with specified deadlines for their implementation.

All comments and suggestions from residents were recorded in the minutes and taken under control. The mayor's office noted that some issues would be resolved on the spot, while others, requiring more time, would be addressed in stages.

The format of the meeting ensured an open dialogue, where residents had the opportunity to ask questions to local authorities and receive answers.
