In 2025, 45,396 "smart" meters were installed in the Issyk-Kul region, as reported by the Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan. To date, out of 123,026 household subscribers in the region, 94,299, which is 75.8%, are already using the new devices.

In addition, 90 km of old aluminum wires with a voltage of 10/0.4 kV were replaced with modern self-supporting insulated wires (SIP), which increased the safety and reliability of the electrical networks. Also, 1,300 outdated wooden poles were replaced with more durable reinforced concrete ones.

Thanks to the installation of 18 transformer substations of 10/0.4 kV, electricity supply has become more stable for several villages and settlements in the region. The capacity of 23 power transformers was increased, which further improved the quality of services.

To enhance the reliability of electricity supply in the Issyk-Kul region, 7 modern reclosers were installed. In the Jyrgalan Valley, the construction of a new 35/10 kV substation "Üch choku" was completed, and 12.8 km of new cable lines were laid along with the installation of 4 substations of 10 kV.

The total capacity of high-voltage substations in the Issyk-Kul region reached 56.5 MVA, significantly increasing the reliability of electrical networks. In particular, at the "Przhevalsk" substation, a transformer with a capacity of 25 MVA was replaced with a 40 MVA one, at "Vostochnaia" — from 16 MVA to 25 MVA, at "Pokrovka" — from 10 MVA to 16 MVA, and at "Zheti-Oguz" — from 10 MVA to 16 MVA.

Similar work was carried out at the substations "Yuzhnaya-1", "Saryuu", "Barskoon", "Keng-Suu", and "Ulahol".
