Kyrgyzhydromet issued a storm warning: sharp cooling is expected
Forecasters report that over the next two days, snowfalls will occur across the territory of the state, and in some regions, they may be quite intense. There will also be an increase in the western wind, with gusts reaching 15-20 meters per second.
Temperature readings will significantly decrease:
- In the Chuy and Talas regions, nighttime temperatures will drop to −9…−14 degrees, and during the day to −1…−6;
- In the Osh, Jalal-Abad, and Batken regions, nighttime temperatures will be −2…−7, and during the day from −2 to +3;
- Issyk-Kul region: nighttime temperatures will be down to −7…−12, and during the day from −4 to +1;
- Naryn region: nighttime temperatures may reach −23…−28, and during the day −9…−14;
- In mountainous areas, nighttime temperatures are expected to drop to −26…−31, and during the day from −9 to −14.
On the roads of the country, the formation of snow cover and ice is predicted, and snow drifts are possible in the mountains. Drivers and local residents are advised to take into account the difficult weather conditions and to exercise caution.
