Elvira Surabaldiyeva asks the authorities not to relocate the boarding school for blind and visually impaired children

At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on January 14, Deputy Elvira Surabaldiyeva expressed dissatisfaction with the proposal to relocate the boarding school for children with visual impairments.

There are only two such institutions in Kyrgyzstan: one in Bishkek and the other in Osh. The boarding school in the capital educates 220 children, of whom 100 come from other regions.

According to Surabaldiyeva, the relocation of the school to Vorontsovka has sparked protests from both the staff and the parents of the students. They urge the authorities to keep the school in its current location, as it is convenient for the children who have already familiarized themselves with the route to the current location. The move will require additional travel expenses, and the new location will be inconvenient for many.

The boarding school is currently located on Kulatov Street.
