A recent report by the Eurasian Economic Commission presented updated data on the demographics, migration flows, and life expectancy of citizens in the EAEU countries as part of a study titled "Demography in Numbers."
According to the report, Russia leads in population among the union countries, with 146.1 million people residing there. It is followed by Kazakhstan with 20.2 million, Belarus — 9.1 million, Kyrgyzstan — 7.2 million, and Armenia, where the population is 3.07 million.

In the EAEU countries, there is a trend towards increasing life expectancy. In 2021, it ranged from 71 to 73 years, while in 2024, it is expected to be between 72 and 79 years.

The urban population accounts for almost three-quarters of the total number of residents in the EAEU countries, averaging 72.5 percent, while 27.5 percent of the population lives in rural areas.

The most significant changes in the migration profile occurred in Armenia. In 2020, 36,577 people arrived in the country, while 33,203 citizens left it. By 2024, the situation changed: the number of arrivals increased to 80,996, while only 2,527 left.

Negative migration dynamics are observed only in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. In 2020, 856,319 people arrived in Kazakhstan, while 874,037 citizens left the country. Kyrgyzstan, on the other hand, accepted 34,275 new residents, while 69,136 people left the country. However, in 2024, Kyrgyzstan added 14,669 new citizens, while only 3,461 departed.

The total population of the EAEU countries in 2024 is estimated to be 185,870,700 people.
