Seizure of Houses Inevitable: The City Hall Explained Plans for Barpy Alykulov Street

In Bishkek, the city hall responded to citizens' concerns regarding the fact that Barpy Alykulov Street, according to the master plan, intersects with the already existing residential development.

The municipality reported that the proposal to reconsider the route was not taken into account. According to the plan, Barpy Alykulov Street will be one of the main meridional highways of the city, parallel to Dooronbek Sadyrbaev Street, and will provide access to the bypass road.

The city hall also noted that given the shortage of available land for development, the implementation of this project is only possible through the expropriation and purchase of land plots. At the same time, the exact number of houses and plots that will be subject to demolition will be determined in the next stages of design.

Discussions on the master plan for the capital are ongoing.
