During the New Year holidays in Kyrgyzstan, 12,124 cases of ARVI and influenza were recorded. This was reported in an interview on "Birinchi Radio" by Sultan Suranbaev, a doctor from the Department of State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance.

According to the specialist, this figure is 27% higher than the data from the previous week.

Suranbaev noted that among the registered viruses are rhinoviruses, adenoviruses, and parainfluenza viruses. The most common form of the disease among Kyrgyzstanis is influenza type A, while cases of influenza type B are less frequent.
