In the Ton District, thousands of meters of poaching nets have been destroyed

In the Ton District, poaching nets totaling thousands of meters have been eliminated.

Throughout 2025, employees of the tourist-ecological police from the Internal Affairs Department of the Issyk-Kul region, in cooperation with officers from the Ton District Department of Internal Affairs, conducted an operation to eliminate illegal fishing nets collected from the waters of the lake in the Ton District.

During this operation, thousands of meters of synthetic nets were extracted and destroyed, which pose a serious threat to the region's ecosystem.

According to information provided by the Internal Affairs Department of the Issyk-Kul region, the collected nets were transported to a specialized landfill of the municipal enterprise "Tazalyk" in the Kün-Chyghysh rural district of the Ton District, where they were disposed of in accordance with established regulations.
