In the Issyk-Kul Region, a poacher with nets and dozens of fish was detained
The incident occurred on January 5, 2026, around 11:00 PM during a nighttime patrol of the lake's waters. Employees of the tourist-ecological police of the Issyk-Kul region's internal affairs department, together with representatives of the territorial fishery management, conducted a raid during which the offender was apprehended.
The individual turned out to be a resident of the village of Balbay in the Tyup district, A. T., born in 1978. He used Chinese synthetic nets to catch fish at the mouth of his village. During a search, he was found to have 6 synthetic nets and illegally caught fish, including 23 sigs, 5 breams, and 1 crucian carp.
This incident has been recorded in the electronic log of the internal affairs department of the Tyup district. Currently, necessary checks and investigative actions are underway.
Information about this incident has also been registered with the municipal internal affairs department of the city of Balykchy, where relevant investigative activities have begun and are ongoing.
