Of this number, 777 individuals received protection orders. More than half of them, specifically 712, were issued to women, 24 to girls, and 41 to men.
Since the beginning of 2026, in the first ten days, 45 new reports of domestic violence have been registered, of which 40 also received protection orders. 39 of these were granted to women, and one to a man.
- The purpose of the protection order is to protect and prevent domestic violence. The law "On Protection and Prevention of Domestic Violence" in Kyrgyzstan was adopted in 2003, and in 2017 it was amended, leading to the introduction of the concept of "protection order."
