In Bishkek, a section of Ch. Aitmatov Avenue has been opened for traffic, where underground crossings are being constructed.
The work began on January 1, and four pedestrian crossings, each 33.5 meters long and 4 meters wide, are being built in this area. Currently, finishing works inside the crossings and the construction of stairs are ongoing.
The City Hall noted that a significant portion of the work was carried out during the holidays to reduce the negative impact on traffic and minimize inconveniences for the city's residents.
Additionally, the concrete blocks that restricted access to and from Abdrakhmanov Street at the intersection of Ch. Aitmatov Avenue and Abdrakhmanov Street have been removed. Now, the exit from Abdrakhmanov Street to Ch. Aitmatov Avenue is allowed only in the right direction.
