On Chyngyz Aitmatov Avenue, between the Southern Highway and Semetey Street, the construction of four underground pedestrian crossings began on January 1. As of January 9, the first phase of work has already been completed — the structures have started to be filled with soil.

The first of the crossings, located closer to the Southern Highway, has been completely filled, although the soil has not yet reached its final compaction level. After this phase is completed, asphalt paving is planned.

Each of the crossings is being constructed using 27 reinforced concrete blocks. The dimensions of each block are 4.4 m in width and 3.1 m in height. Once the work is completed, the width of the pedestrian crossing will be 4 m, and the height will be 2.5 m. Before the installation of the concrete foundations and blocks, waterproofing was carried out.
