In Russia, voice messages with insults in messengers are now punishable by court.
According to information from the case materials, a court in Moscow examined a situation in which a woman sent audio messages containing insults via Telegram. The recipient of the message reported it to the prosecutor's office, which found signs of an administrative offense in the sender's actions under the article "Insult" of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
An act of listening to the audio recording was used as evidence in the case. At the court hearing, the accused admitted her guilt and expressed remorse for her actions.
