Dmitry Prokopyev noted that the number of foreign patients varies depending on the season. In the summer months, when people have a lot of free time, the number of visitors significantly increases. According to him, during this time, the share of foreign patients can account for up to 40% of the total number.
He also added that people come to Kyrgyzstan for medical services from both nearby and more distant countries. Among the guests, one can find patients from the United Arab Emirates, Europe, and the United Kingdom. At the same time, the largest number of clients comes from CIS countries, especially from Kazakhstan and Russia, with a noticeable increase in the number of Russians in recent years, while the number of Kazakh patients has decreased.
“People learn about Kyrgyzstan in various ways, but usually, it happens through word of mouth. For example, one of my patients who recently flew in from England mentioned that his acquaintances recommended having surgery here. It is also worth noting that some surgeons actively use social media, such as Instagram, to promote their services,” the specialist added.
The procedures that attract the most attention from foreign patients are those aimed at improving body contours, including breast augmentation, tummy tuck after childbirth, and liposuction. Additionally, rejuvenating facial procedures, such as facelifts and blepharoplasty, are also popular.
