Official proposes to introduce state regulation in the field of ecotourism

The Director of the Fund for Support and Development of Tourism, Adilet Januzakov, proposed the introduction of state regulation in the field of ecological tourism during a broadcast on Radio Sputnik. He announced this the day before.

According to Januzakov, his fund, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, and the Department of Tourism intend to actively work on this topic, while taking into account the opinions of tour operators in the discussion process.

The head of the fund emphasized that ecological trails, which represent one type of tourist routes, play a significant role in the development of tourism in Kyrgyzstan. These trails are already available on electronic maps, such as 2GIS, making it easier for tourists to navigate mountainous areas using mobile applications.

“It is important that the development of glamping and ecotourism goes hand in hand with a careful attitude towards nature. Even in the context of 'wild' tourism, it is necessary to create minimal infrastructure, including bio-toilets and other basic conditions, as this directly affects the preservation of the environment,” noted Adilet Januzakov.
