On January 16, an exhibition of paintings titled "Anatomy of Human Emotions" will open in Bishkek.
The goal of the exhibition is to explore the emotional experience of a person using color palettes, shapes, and spatial compositions. The foundation of the exhibition consists of four color environments that illustrate a multitude of emotional states, ranging from joy and trust to anxiety, fear, and determination. This creates a cohesive journey of emotional experience, allowing visitors to traverse the path from vibrant feelings to a state of deep silence and solitude.
The exhibition represents a kind of labyrinth of emotions. Each hall reveals a new facet of perception, and the paintings and sculptures form an architecture of feelings, where each element becomes part of a unified emotional system. The author's idea is that the exhibition serves as a journey within oneself and a quest to return to authentic human essence.
In his creative practice, Ilgiz Edilson draws on research in the fields of neurobiology, behavioral psychology, and psycho-semantics, employing an abstract visual language to convey complex, hard-to-articulate states such as tension, vulnerability, trust, fear, and the drive to act.
The exhibition opening will take place on January 16 at 2:00 PM and will run until February 1.
Exhibition hours: Tuesday to Sunday, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Monday - closed).
Location: Bishkek, Abdrakhmanov Street, 196
