A $150 million international medical cluster is planned to be established in Karakol, which will make the city a center for medicine and medical tourism for the CIS countries. This was announced by Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev during his working trip to the Issyk-Kul region.
During Kasymaliev's visit, a project was presented that aims to transform Karakol into a key regional center for high technologies in medicine and medical tourism for the CIS and neighboring countries.
The plan includes the implementation of modern technologies in diagnostics and treatment, the creation of specialized oncology and cardiology centers, attracting the best foreign specialists, as well as the development of a new system of medical education and training of qualified personnel,” the official statement noted.
The project envisions the availability of 510 hospital beds and the creation of about 750 jobs.
