The city of Karakol is aimed at developing as an international medical center and an ideal place for medical tourism in the CIS countries. As part of this plan, the construction of a medical cluster worth 150 million US dollars is planned. This information was announced during the working visit of Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev to the Issyk-Kul region.
“During the visit, the concept of creating an international medical cluster in Karakol was presented. It is expected to become a leading center for high medical technologies and medical tourism for CIS states and neighboring countries,” noted Kasymaliev.
The project includes the implementation of modern diagnostic and treatment technologies, the establishment of specialized institutions for oncology and cardiology, attracting high-class foreign specialists, as well as developing a medical education system to train qualified personnel,” added the press service.
The total cost of this project will be 150 million dollars, and the medical cluster will accommodate 510 beds, creating about 750 jobs.
