The deputy proposed to simplify the procedure for granting disability to children

Deputy Gulnara Akimbaeva spoke at a joint meeting of the "Ishenim" and "Ala-Too" groups, suggesting that the process of obtaining disability status for children be made more accessible. According to her, there are over 37,000 children with various forms of disabilities registered in the country, of which about 3,000 have mental disorders.

Akimbaeva emphasized that many families face difficulties when applying for disability status. Parents are forced to undergo numerous examinations by various specialists, contact family medicine centers and the Republican Center for Mental Health, as well as medical and social expert commissions, which requires gathering a large number of documents and making repeated visits to the same institutions.

In this regard, the deputy called on the Ministry of Health to improve and simplify the procedure for passing the commission and obtaining disability status for children.
