According to information provided by the OTS, an action plan for 2026-2027 was signed at the meeting, aimed at implementing the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between the OTS and the WHO European Regional Office.
The parties discussed key areas of joint work, including strengthening preparedness and response to health emergencies, developing digitalization in healthcare systems, as well as programs aimed at enhancing institutional and human resource capacity. The issue of creating environmentally sustainable healthcare facilities was also addressed.
The signed document aims to deepen cooperation to strengthen the healthcare systems of the participating countries and ensure sanitary and epidemiological safety. It also includes efforts to prevent and combat non-communicable diseases, promote healthy aging policies, and implement initiatives aimed at mitigating the health impacts of climate change.
Thus, this plan establishes a clear and coherent foundation for joint activities in the medium term and ensures continuity of the strategic partnership between the Organization of Turkic States and the World Health Organization for the European Region.
