On February 21, the press service of the Cabinet reported that construction and repair work at the National Center for Cardiology is nearing completion. Including both the outpatient clinic and the inpatient facility, the departments of nephrology, rheumatology, and therapy have already been updated. The power supply, heating, fire alarm, and video surveillance systems have been modernized, and new elevators have been installed. The outpatient clinic and inpatient facility are at a high readiness stage, and the head of the Cabinet instructed that all work be completed within three months.
During his visit, Kasymaliev also familiarized himself with the restoration of the Institute of Heart Surgery, which was damaged by a fire in February of last year. It is reported that the repair work is at the final stage: engineering communications, heating and ventilation systems have been updated, finishing work has been completed, and the facade has been restored. Additionally, oxygen pipelines have been installed, and the necessary equipment for the operating block has been set up. A budget of 270 million soms has been allocated for the purchase of medical equipment for the institute.
As a result of the visit, a directive was issued to ensure the quality completion of the repairs at the Institute by March 1, as well as to strengthen control over equipping medical institutions with modern equipment and improving the quality of medical services for the population.
