Kasymaliyev inspected the repairs at the Cardiology Center and the Research Institute of Heart Surgery
Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev visited the National Center for Cardiology and Therapy named after M. Mirrakhimov, where he checked the progress of the major repairs and restoration work at the Research Institute of Heart Surgery and Organ Transplantation, which was affected by a fire in February last year.
According to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, during the visit, Kasymaliev familiarized himself with the current condition of the buildings, the pace of repair work, and the conditions being created for patients and medical staff. Key areas of work and plans for the development of cardiac surgery in the country were also discussed.
The major repairs include two phases and cover work in various buildings of the National Center for Cardiology, including the outpatient clinic and operating block, as well as the updating of engineering systems such as water supply and electricity supply.
Work has already been completed in the departments of nephrology, rheumatology, and therapy. Additionally, electrical supply, heating, and installation of video surveillance systems have been completed, and new elevators have been added. The renovation of the conference hall and the kitchen area has also been completed.
The outpatient clinic and inpatient department are ready for operation.
The Prime Minister instructed to complete all work at the National Center for Cardiology within three months.
Next, Kasymaliev reviewed the state of restoration work at the Research Institute of Heart Surgery, which was previously damaged by fire.
The restoration work is nearing completion. Demolition work has been completed, new windows have been installed, and heating and electrical systems have been replaced. Finishing work, ventilation, and facade work have been completed, and new rooms for gas and oxygen pipelines have been built.
The institute received medical equipment worth 270 million soms.
Following the visit, the Prime Minister instructed to complete all repair work at the institution by March 1 of this year.
Furthermore, during the visit, Kasymaliev emphasized the need to equip the centers with modern equipment to improve the quality of cardiological care and enhance comfort for patients.
At the end of the visit, the Prime Minister gave relevant instructions to the authorities for further monitoring of the progress of work and the quality of medical services.
