The Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic and UNDP discussed partnership and the development of international procurement mechanisms
During the meeting, key areas of cooperation were discussed in light of the priorities for the development of the healthcare system in Kyrgyzstan until 2030. The focus was on strengthening the institutions of the healthcare system, developing human resources, digitizing medical services, and enhancing the resilience of the national healthcare system.
One of the main points of discussion was the improvement of procurement mechanisms for medical drugs and products through the UN system. The parties considered future steps for cooperation with UNDP in the area of centralized procurement aimed at ensuring access to quality medications at reasonable prices, as well as improving the efficiency and transparency of procurement processes.
