The deputy reported a shortage of hospital beds in the city of Manas and Suzak district.
She noted that the children's regional hospital, designed for 165 beds, is actually receiving up to 250 children, which creates significant strain on the medical staff and leads to violations of sanitary norms.
“The situation is critical, there are not enough beds, and doctors have to work under high pressure,” she added.
As a solution, the deputy proposed the opening of a new children's hospital with increased capacity.
Moreover, the problem of bed shortages is also observed in the Suzak hospital, where patients admitted via ambulance are forced to remain in the corridors, Khamazaeva emphasized.
Health Minister Kanbek Dosmambetov confirmed that he is aware of the situation. According to him, an inventory of medical institutions is currently being conducted across the country, and an analysis will be carried out to initiate the construction of new facilities in areas where it is truly necessary, he stated.
