In the Ak-Tal District, there is a shortage of 22 doctors of various specialties.
According to Düyshönaliev, the shortage of specialists is observed in various fields of medicine. In 2025, five doctors were attracted to the district, and they continue their activities, but the issue of staffing remains relevant.
The region urgently needs specialists such as obstetricians-gynecologists, neonatologists, traumatologists, anesthesiologists, family doctors, ophthalmologists, neurologists, endocrinologists, therapists, pediatricians, and pediatric surgeons.
The director noted that the district is actively trying to attract doctors from other regions; however, most of them refuse, as the district is considered remote. There is also a housing problem: in rural areas, there are almost no rental options, and if they do exist, the conditions often do not meet the expectations of new specialists.
In light of this situation, local authorities, together with the administration of medical institutions, are developing a project for the construction of housing for invited doctors. Currently, there is a small dormitory available, but its capacity is insufficient for all those in need.
It is emphasized that the shortage of doctors creates significant inconvenience and dissatisfaction among the population of the district.
