The Ministry of Health plans to expand the program for foreign internships for medical professionals.
During his speech at the final board meeting for 2025, he noted that the Ministry of Health is actively collaborating with international partners in the training of medical specialists. In particular, this concerns medical institutions in Russia, Turkey, the USA, and other countries.
As the minister explained, the number of residents from KGMA sent for training abroad was previously limited; however, this practice will be significantly expanded in the future.
“We aim to increase the number of our specialists who can undergo training and internships abroad. This is an ambitious project, but quite feasible. We already have partners with whom negotiations have been conducted,” Dosmambetov noted.
He also added that he has a meeting scheduled with Mikhail Murashko, the Minister of Health of Russia, in early February. One of the key aspects of the discussion will be the issue of increasing the quotas for internships for medical professionals from Kyrgyzstan.
“We hope that the Russian side will be able to accept our specialists for internships at their own expense for a period of one to four years,” the minister added.
