The Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic commented on the information that appeared on social media about women in labor allegedly being in the corridors of the Kyrgyz Scientific Center for Human Reproduction.

The agency noted that the postnatal department at the Reproductive Center has been expanded, additional beds have been added, and necessary conditions for accommodating patients have been ensured.
According to the Ministry of Health, the Center can accommodate 80 beds, but currently, there are 106 patients, as this third-level institution accepts women with complicated pregnancies and severe conditions from all over the country.
The Director of the Center, Nurgul Shoonaeva, reported that in 2025, the number of births increased by 1,000 compared to 2024, indicating an increased load on the maternity care system.
The Ministry of Health emphasized that assistance is provided to all women if there are indications for hospitalization, and no refusals for admission have been recorded.
Despite the existing difficulties, the staff of the Center works around the clock and takes all necessary measures to ensure the safety and quality of medical services, the agency added.
