In Kyrgyzstan, the establishment of a network of dental offices based in schools is planned. This statement was made by Gulmayram Ibraimova, the chief freelance dentist of the Ministry of Health.

According to her, in February 2025, an interdepartmental agreement was signed between the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education aimed at joint efforts to prevent dental diseases in children.

The program covers both kindergartens and schools, focusing on the development of preventive dental care for children.

The offices will primarily operate in a preventive manner, educating children, parents, and teachers on the basics of oral hygiene, proper nutrition, and a healthy lifestyle. Additionally, they will provide services to nearby educational institutions according to a set schedule.

Ibraimova noted that forming proper eating habits in children is a task not only for dentists but also for parents.

She also emphasized the need for cooperation among dentists, the educational system, and parents to achieve effective prevention.

The program also considers organizing outreach preventive examinations with the participation of clinical residents and graduate students with the support of the Ministry of Education.
