In Kyrgyzstan's schools, they plan to open dental offices and strengthen disease prevention.
She noted that in February 2025, an interdepartmental order was signed, which envisions joint actions by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education in the area of preventing dental diseases in preschool and school-aged children.
The main focus of the dental offices will be on preventive measures. This includes not only medical examinations but also educational activities for children and their parents regarding oral hygiene, the basics of proper nutrition, as well as promoting a healthy lifestyle and rejecting harmful habits.
According to Ibraimova, family traditions and everyday habits play an important role in the dental health of children, so a comprehensive approach is necessary to address this issue, which will unite the efforts of the education and health systems.
In addition to school dental offices, there are also plans to organize outreach preventive examinations. Special teams may be formed for this purpose, consisting of clinical residents and graduate students. Furthermore, nearby schools and kindergartens will be able to visit these dental offices according to a schedule.
