
In Kyrgyzstan, according to the president of the Dental Association of the Kyrgyz Republic, Abibilla Kalbaev, between 93% and 97% of residents suffer from cavities, particularly affecting children. He reported this on the air of Birinchi Radio.
Cavities hold a leading position among dental diseases, while periodontal diseases rank second, affecting about 80% of the adult population of the country.
Kalbaev noted that the dental service in Kyrgyzstan has both positive and negative aspects, but in recent years, the focus has shifted towards preventive measures for oral care.
He added that prevention plays an important role in disease prevention and reducing the burden on the healthcare system. In this regard, the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic has developed a program for the prevention of dental diseases.
