As of today, 93 to 97% of children in Kyrgyzstan suffer from dental caries, which also affects the adult population. This was reported on January 29 in an interview with "Birinchi Radio" by Abibilla Kalbaev, president of the Dental Association of the Kyrgyz Republic.

He noted that caries remains the most common dental disease in the country. The second most prevalent condition is periodontitis, which affects about 80% of the population, primarily adults. This disease manifests less frequently in children.

Kalbaev also pointed out that the dental service in Kyrgyzstan faces both successes and challenges; however, the current focus is on the prevention of dental diseases.
