The Committee on Labor, Health, Women's Affairs, and Social Issues held a meeting where the draft law "On Amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic on Medical Insurance for Citizens in the KR" was reviewed and approved in the first reading.
The Deputy Minister of Health, Aibek Matkerimov, emphasized that the proposed changes are aimed at implementing mandatory health insurance for citizens through medical institutions that operate under contracts with the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund. In addition, the draft law provides for the provision of free and subsidized medical services to certain groups of the population.
