The Ministry of Health plans to open ambulance stations in the southern part of Bishkek

At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh committee dedicated to labor, health, women's affairs, and social issues, Deputy Zhyldyz Egemberdieva emphasized the problems related to access and the effectiveness of the ambulance service.
According to the deputy, it is necessary to implement digital solutions similar to those used in taxi services. "Currently, taxis operate through apps, which simplifies routing. This is very convenient for users. At the same time, it is becoming increasingly difficult to reach the number 103, and ambulance teams often experience delays," she stressed.

Deputy Minister of Health Aibek Matkerimov, responding to these remarks, noted that the problems of the ambulance service are not isolated but are connected to a broader range of systemic difficulties in healthcare.
"The Ministry is actively working to improve the situation. In the southern part of the city, the creation of 4-5 new ambulance stations is planned, and discussions are also underway regarding the purchase of new vehicles. The shortage of cars is acutely felt, despite the fact that they are constantly circulating in the city. This is related to the growing population," he added.

The deputy minister also reported that this year the Ministry of Health intends to take concrete steps to address the issues concerning the operation of the ambulance service.
