At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on January 21, deputy Dastan Jumabekov raised the issue of the shortage of medical specialists in the Talas region.

He noted that in a region with a population of about 270,000 people, there are no neurosurgeons in either the regional or central hospitals.

"Injuries occur quite often, and in such situations, every minute and every hour is extremely important. Previously, we had to order air ambulance from Bishkek to transport the injured or bring specialists from the capital, which takes a lot of time," the deputy emphasized.

Jumabekov appealed to the representative of the president and the Cabinet in the Jogorku Kenesh, asking to discuss this issue with the Minister of Health in order to send at least one or two neurosurgeons to Talas and create the necessary working conditions for them to assist the population.
