Local residents expressed their concerns and demand that this manhole be closed, as it poses a serious threat to pedestrians.
According to the townspeople, the shutdown of street lighting to save funds, combined with open manholes, creates a real danger on the dark streets of the city.
The injured young man was taken by ambulance.
As reported by the Issyk-Kul Regional Hospital, the student was admitted to the medical facility on January 11 at around 00:15. Doctors diagnosed him with a closed oblique fracture of the middle and lower thirds of the right tibia with displacement.
His condition is currently assessed as satisfactory, and surgery is being prepared, which will be conducted within the next 3–4 days.
