The non-governmental organization previously accused the bank of violating the embargo.
In Brussels, the commercial court issued a favorable decision for "Bakay Bank" in the dispute against the non-governmental organization Open Dialogue Foundation (ODF), as reported by the president's press secretary Askhat Alagozov.
In 2023, ODF published materials recommending sanctions against this bank, claiming its possible involvement in circumventing the embargo in favor of Russia.
In response to these accusations, "Bakay Bank" filed a lawsuit for the protection of its business reputation.
The court found that ODF made serious accusations without sufficient grounds, resulting in the organization being required to remove the disputed materials, publish the text of the court decision, and compensate for legal expenses.
Askhat Alagozov noted that this verdict confirms the groundlessness of the accusations against financial institutions in Kyrgyzstan.
Previously, "Keremet Bank" and "Capital Bank" were sanctioned by the USA and the UK, but specific evidence of violations is absent in open sources.
President Sadyr Japarov also denied the accusations and expressed readiness to invite investigators to Kyrgyzstan.
