Tehran has sent a response to the US peace proposals through Pakistan

The official response from Iran to the American initiatives regarding the resolution of the current situation was conveyed through a Pakistani intermediary, as reported by the IRNA agency.

Tehran stated that a temporary ceasefire is not being considered. The Islamic Republic insists on a complete cessation of the conflict, with the main condition for reaching an agreement being the lifting of economic sanctions.

US President Donald Trump previously confirmed the existence of direct negotiations and expressed hope for signing an agreement by Tuesday. He also firmly demanded that Iran ensure the free passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz, threatening serious consequences in case of refusal.

According to Reuters, the discussed initiative implies Iran's abandonment of its nuclear program in exchange for the unfreezing of its foreign assets and a reduction in sanctions pressure. The details were discussed during overnight negotiations involving Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir, US Vice President J.D. Vance, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
