Sadyr Japarov, the president of the country, signed a decree introducing temporary measures for the online registration of certain categories of vehicles and their rights.
According to this decree, the new mechanism will come into effect on April 1 and will remain in force until December 31, 2026. During this period, the process of registering cars and issuing rights for them will partially transition to an online format.
The decree establishes a temporary procedure for online registration aimed at optimizing the accounting of vehicles, improving the quality of technical inspections, and providing public services.
The State Center for Vehicle Registration and Driver Licensing, the State Enterprise "Kyzmat," the Joint-Stock Company "Tunduk," and the State Customs Service have been appointed as responsible for the implementation of this system. They are tasked with conducting outreach among citizens, ensuring the technical readiness of the system, and providing quarterly reports to the government.
It is also permissible to involve payment organizations to work with the new system.
If the pilot project is successfully implemented, the authorities intend to make online vehicle registration permanent.
