Possible expansion of the pilot project to the entire healthcare sector


The Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, under the leadership of the president, is initiating changes in the working hours of state hospitals and in the tariffs for their paid services. This information was announced in an official statement from the office.

As part of the pilot project, 14 medical institutions located in various regions of the country are expected to participate. It is guaranteed that the volume and accessibility of medical services provided under state guarantees will remain at the same level.

It is also planned to implement a more adaptive wage system that will take into account not only job responsibilities but also the performance results of employees. Heads of institutions will be granted expanded powers to manage the structure and number of medical personnel.

The tariffs for paid medical services will be revised using a new methodology based on actual costs. It is claimed that prices will be lower than in private clinics.

Based on the results of the testing, the authorities plan to extend the new approaches to the entire healthcare system of the country.
