The Cabinet has completed the process of legalizing documents
On March 31, at a briefing in Bishkek, Deputy Foreign Minister Almaz Imangaziev announced that the new driver's licenses of the Kyrgyz Republic have now been legalized in several countries, including European states.
Previously, social media users expressed concern that the new licenses were not being accepted in European Union countries.
Deputy Director of the Presidential Administration Boobek Salimzhanov noted that in some European countries, information about the changes may not have reached them, which caused the difficulties encountered.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that as early as December 30 of last year, instructions were given to all diplomatic and consular institutions to organize the legalization of driver's licenses in the countries where they are located.
“We sent samples. Embassies in European countries worked directly with the relevant authorities, sending appropriate diplomatic notes to the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Denmark, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Finland, and the Baltic states,” Imangaziev added.
The legalization process was carried out in two stages: first electronically, then through original documents.
“In some cases, forgeries of licenses were identified, which caused negative comments on social media. However, the new driver's licenses fully comply with international standards,” the official emphasized.
