Azimbek Beknazarov, a well-known public figure and former Attorney General of Kyrgyzstan, recently expressed the need to form an independent commission to assess the work of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) over the past five years in an interview. He emphasized the necessity of verifying the legality of the transfer of property to state ownership.

In Beknazarov's opinion, it is important to thoroughly investigate which specific assets were transferred to the state, as well as to analyze the origins of the assets linked to the family of Kamchybek Tashiev.

He pointed out that simple interrogations are insufficient to ensure transparency. The public figure criticized the practice of short-term summonses for individuals involved, stating that this undermines trust in investigative bodies.

As a solution, Beknazarov proposed that the president create a state commission that would include public figures and deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh. This would allow for an "independent and objective assessment" of the SCNS's activities during the specified period.

Additionally, he highlighted the importance of investigating possible financial schemes and assets accumulated during this time, stressing that he possesses information confirming the need for a thorough examination of the scale of the property.

Beknazarov also suggested conducting a comparison of the damage caused by the organized criminal group of Kamchy Kolbaev and the actions of structures within the SCNS. In his view, the number of complaints about the work of the special services may significantly exceed those concerning criminal groups.

He added that property can only be considered transferred to the state if all necessary procedures are followed, including discussion in the Jogorku Kenesh.
