This year, Kyrgyzstan plans to increase the coverage of preschool education to 60%. This was reported by Deputy Minister of Education and Science Nazira Jusupbekova at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh committee, where an agreement with the International Association for the Development of Early Childhood Education was discussed.

Nazira Jusupbekova emphasized that the Ministry of Education places great importance on the development of preschool education within the framework of its state strategy and national policy.

"By 2025, it was planned that the coverage of children with preschool education would be 51%. According to plans for 2026, this figure should increase to 60%. To achieve this goal, we are actively working together with local authorities, donors, the Ministry of Construction, and other stakeholders," she noted.

The deputy minister also added that within the framework of public-private partnerships, programs are being implemented to provide concessional loans for entrepreneurs who wish to invest in the construction of kindergartens. For example, in 2025, five such concessional loans were issued, with which five new kindergartens were built.

She also noted that the ratification of the agreement is intended to improve the situation with preschool education in the country. Deputies, in turn, called for intensified efforts to provide kindergartens for residents of remote areas of the Kyrgyz Republic.
