In the Kyrgyz Republic, an annual meeting took place, attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeenbek Kulubaev and representatives of the expert community. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
At the meeting, held on March 26, the minister presented a report on the work of the diplomatic service for 2025 and outlined the key tasks facing the agency during the current period.
Kulubaev emphasized that the completion of the border delimitation process with Tajikistan has historical significance for strengthening stability in the region. Additionally, he noted the activity on the international stage: in 2025, 190 meetings and visits were held, over 600 documents were signed, and Kyrgyzstan's diplomatic presence was expanded with the opening of new embassies in Ethiopia and Egypt. One of the significant areas of work has been the introduction of digital technologies in the consular sphere: the launch of the "Electronic Consul" system has significantly reduced the time for document processing, and the organization of elections to the Jogorku Kenesh abroad has led to an increase in voter turnout among compatriots.
Discussing international issues, the minister confirmed that Kyrgyzstan adheres to the principle of a multi-vector foreign policy and maintains balanced relations with key partners such as Russia, China, Central Asian states, and Western countries, advocating for the peaceful resolution of conflicts in accordance with international law.
Speaking about plans for 2026, Kulubaev highlighted the special significance of Kyrgyzstan's chairmanship in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of this structure, and presented the priority areas of Bishkek's work during this period. He also spoke about preparations for the VI World Nomad Games and the anniversary Issyk-Kul Forum named after Ch. Aitmatov, which will be important events for cultural diplomacy and strengthening the country's image on the international stage.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Kulubaev answered questions from experts, emphasizing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' readiness for constructive dialogue and proposals.
