The probation system has had a significant impact
The Minister of Justice of Kyrgyzstan, Ayaz Bayetov, reported a decrease in the number of prisoners in the country and a reduction in the level of recidivism at the final event of the project "Justice for All".
According to Bayetov, the probation system played a key role in these changes.
“The long-term cooperation of Kyrgyzstan with the European Union has borne fruit. Within the framework of this project, the digitization of the judicial system has been implemented, and significant work has been done in the field of probation, which has facilitated the work for both government agencies and citizens,” the minister added. He also noted that new apartment buildings are being constructed in areas freed from colonies.
