The Parliament Simplified Procedures for Correcting Errors in the PIN
One of the key points of the amendments is the simplification of the process for correcting errors related to the personal identification number (PIN). In particular, it is proposed to abolish the limitation that allowed the correction of technical errors only for those made before July 1, 2017.
The justification for the draft law emphasizes that errors can occur even during the operation of the automated civil registry system. For example, inaccuracies may arise in indicating gender or date of birth, as well as problems stemming from errors in medical documents. In some cases, the same person may receive multiple PINs, or one number may be assigned to several people.
The draft law proposes a revision of one of the articles of the current legislation to eliminate existing contradictions and establish the possibility of correcting such errors.
