The Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Discussed Ecology and Public Procurement with the World Bank
During the conversation, Mamataliev emphasized that the Kyrgyz Republic is actively engaging with the World Bank and successfully implementing numerous joint initiatives.

“We are interested in deepening our partnership, particularly in issues related to ecology, climate change, and improving the condition of mountain ecosystems. The Jogorku Kenesh also wishes to discuss and receive recommendations on specific legislative acts,” noted the speaker.
He cited the need to improve legislation concerning public procurement as an example.
Hugh Riddell, for his part, offered his comments on this legislation and expressed his readiness to provide recommendations for its improvement.
The parties discussed recent changes in the legal system and emphasized the importance of developing the legal framework in the area of public procurement.
